In our venue, we have a decibel (db) restriction of about 98 db. This is not a problem for most of our musicians except for the drummer. Due to the volume issues, many times we are forced to use electronic drums.
By using our PHOENIX seamless drum enclosure, the acoustics of the drums outside the enclosure remains at the volume level of a normal conversation. This allows you to mic the drums and get a CD quality sound without getting any acoustic bleed.
Our current shield is not very pleasant to look at. It has visible vertical seams every couple feet. We want to isolate our drums without spending a fortune. How can we fix this? Is there a way to isolate our drums without using a shield?
The PHOENIX seamless drum enclosure has no seams. With its curved front, it looks sleek and professional, bringing the main focus where it belongs—on the drum kit and drummer.
Our drum shield folds up. While that’s nice sometimes, it creates a problem in that we have multiple flat parallel sides that make it hard to EQ and gate properly. We have tried placing absorber panels on it, however this option is not compatible with our décor. How can we fix this problem?
By using our PHOENIX seamless drum enclosure, the curved front doesn’t allow the sound of the drums to reflect inside the cage. When the drum sounds hit the front glass panel, it sends it like a rocket around the glass to the back of the enclosure where it dies in our sound absorption panels on the back doors and walls, while it’s sleek and elegant look is a compliment to any design.
We have a shield with a padded ceiling. This helps with sound absorption but creates a lighting nightmare because the cage is always too dark. When we light it from the outside, we can light it slightly, but there are shadows on the drummer’s face. We would like to adequately light our drummer from the inside without seeing the light fixture
Our PHOENIX seamless drum enclosure has a two-foot ceiling extension that helps to hide any lighting fixtures you may want to place inside. In addition, the enclosure comes equipped with a custom lighting bar, DMX inputs and power to run real stage lighting from your light board.
We like to move our musicians around each week, giving a fresh look to the stage. It is extremely time intensive when we have to move the drums. We have to take down the glass, drums and mics off the riser and move them to their new location. Then we have to reset and re-mix the drums. How can you help solve this problem
With our PHOENIX seamless drum enclosure, the drum riser is part of the shield and can be moved safely and easily because of our large stage casters. We have also solved the mic issue because we offer pin connection snakes which we customize to your needs. It’s as easy as placing the shield wherever you want it to be.
